Lamar reached ever greater heights with his next album, "DAMN." Released in 2017, the record helped Lamar make history. He became the first non-classical or jazz musician to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music, per Billboard. The Grammy Awards also showered him with lots of love as well. Lamar took home five top honors at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for "HUMBLE."

Moving in a cinematic direction, Lamar served as an executive producer on the "Black Panther" soundtrack (via The New York Times). He contributed numerous songs to the movie as well, including "All the Stars" with SZA and "King's Dead" with Jay Rock, Future, and James Blake. Both of these songs earned Grammy Award nominations as did the "Black Panther" soundtrack. This time around, Lamar only won one Grammy for Best Rap Performance for "King's Dead." And that brings Lamar's career Grammy Award total up to an amazing 13 wins.
